Our aim with the U18 team for this season, given that they will not partake in full-time league activities with HAT, is to offer the chance to the players to be exposed to opportunities beyond our region and to know what options are available to them. It will be on a merit-basis, meaning that once the selections are finalized following both Inland and Coastal showcases, we will ensure that players not only earn their spots based on on-ice performance, but also ensuring that they merit it based on their academics. The same type of trip will also be planned for the Ottawa region in February. This will also give the chance for other players to earn their spots for that trip, should they not be selected for the upcoming one in Montreal.
