Developing the next generation of broomball athletes in Eeyou Istchee
Eeyou United is EISRA's regional broomball development program, providing young athletes from across Eeyou Istchee with opportunities to train, develop and compete together.

Entering its third season in 2026–27, the program expanded its development pathway to include U15, U17 and U20 athletes.
​
The goal is to create more opportunities for young athletes to experience higher-level broomball while developing the skills, confidence and experience needed to continue progressing within the sport.
2026/2027 Program Structure
The U20 team is the primary competitive team within the Eeyou United program. Athletes selected to the final roster will participate in team training, development activities and competitive opportunities throughout the season, culminating in the 2027 U20 National Broomball Championships in Waterloo, Ontario, from March 29–April 3, 2027. Athletes from the younger evaluation groups may also be considered for the U20 roster where appropriate.
Eeyou United U20 Team
The Development Team provides promising younger athletes with an opportunity to continue developing within the Eeyou United program. The group will primarily consist of athletes identified through the U15 and U17 evaluation groups who demonstrate the ability, commitment and potential to continue progressing toward the U20 level.

​​The Development Team is intended to create a pathway toward future participation on the Eeyou United U20 Team.
Eeyou United Development Team
Tryouts & Evaluations
Due to the number of athletes participating in Eeyou United evaluations, athletes will initially be divided into three evaluation groups:

U15
-
U17
-
U20
These groups are used primarily to help organize tryouts and help coaches effectively evaluate a large number of athletes.​ They do not represent three separate Eeyou United teams.

Following the evaluation process, athletes may be selected for either the Eeyou United U20 Team or the Eeyou United Development Team.
Tryout Registrations
The registration fee for Eeyou United tryouts is $40 per player
Payment of $40 can be sent by Interac e-Transfer to: info@eisra.ca

Step 1 – Submit Payment
Once payment has been received, EISRA will provide the player/family with instructions to complete the official tryout registration.

Please note: Payment must be received before registration instructions are provided.
Step 2 – Receive Instructions
​The tryout fee of $40 per player provides access to the Eeyou United evaluation process. Selection to the U20 Team is not guaranteed.
