Event Recap: 2025 Juvenile Broomball Nationals, Hosted by Eeyou Istchee Sports and Recreation Association

Val-d'Or, Quebec – March 26-29, 2025 – The Eeyou Istchee Sports and Recreation Association (EISRA) proudly hosted the 2025 Juvenile Broomball National Championships in Val-d'Or, Quebec, from March 26th to 29th. This highly anticipated event brought together top youth broomball talent from across the country and showcased our Nation's love of the game.


The Centre Agnico Eagle's two rinks were buzzing with action as ten teams of youth under 20 competed in both male and female divisions. The tournament was a true celebration of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with intense games played from morning to evening each day.


We are proud of the Eeyou Istchee United girls team, who played with incredible heart and intensity game after game. Demonstrating significant improvement throughout the tournament, they secured a well-deserved bronze medal in the Division B category, triumphing over the Bruno T-Birds with a 2-0 victory.


EISRA's successful bid to host the 2025 Juvenile National tournament, approved by Broomball Canada year prior, marked a significant milestone. We are grateful to Broomball Canada and Fédération Québécois de Ballon sur Glace for giving us the opportunity to share our culture, love of broomball, and capability to organize national-level events. Thank you to everyone who played, watched, or contributed to the organization of this fantastic event!
